Saving on the Water Bill

Regardless of whether you get it from a well or your local municipality, conserving water saves you money. Platitudes such as “taking a shorter shower” and “turning the water off when brushing your teeth” have been beaten to death. Everyone knows that checking for leaks and installing low-flow faucet and shower heads can reduce water waste. The simplest way to save money on water is by simply not using it. Don’t flush your toilet as much and use a toilet dam (an object in the tank that takes up space so each flush uses less water); deep-soak your lawn and only water in the night time; and wash your vegetables, dishes, and razors in the sink rather than under a stream of running water.
